Most alarms fail because dismissing them is too easy. Sun Dial makes dismissal physical — you have to get up, walk to the tag, and scan it with your iPhone before the ringing stops.
How it works
Three steps to a real wake-up.

Place it away from bed
Mount it magnetically or stand it on its own — somewhere that forces you up, like the fridge, a metal shelf, or across the room.

Walk over when it rings
No snooze, no swipe. The only way to stop the alarm is to get on your feet and cross the room.

Tap to scan, and you’re up
Hold your iPhone to the disc. It reads instantly over NFC, the alarm stops, and your morning has already started.

Do I need the Sun Dial to use SunUp?
No — it’s completely optional. SunUp works with math, typing, chess, memory, trivia, and printed QR codes too. The Sun Dial just adds the most physical dismiss task: get up and scan.
How do I get one?
The Sun Dial isn’t on sale yet — join the waitlist on this page with your email or phone, and we’ll reach out the moment it’s available. When yours arrives, open SunUp → Settings → Sun Dials and pair the tag to unlock scan-to-dismiss.
How does it attach?
It’s a slim disc with a magnetic back that snaps onto metal — the fridge, a radiator, a locker — and it free-stands on its own too. Put it wherever you want your morning walk to end.
When does scan-to-dismiss turn on?
As soon as you pair your tag in SunUp. Open Settings → Sun Dials, scan the disc once, then choose Scan Sun Dial as your dismiss task.
